Joseph F. Weigand, Jr. has practiced law in Meriden since 1966. He is a founding partner in the firm and focuses his practice in the areas of residential and commercial real estate transactions representing buyers, sellers and lenders. In addition to real estate, Attorney Weigand devotes his practice to probate matters, wills, estate planning, elder law and the representation of business clients. A native of Meriden and Navy veteran, Attorney Weigand is a former State Representative from the 83rd district and also served as Clerk of the House of Representatives. He is active in local affairs and has served on various municipal boards and commissions. He has been a long-time supporter of the Meriden YMCA as a board member and trustee and presently serves as legal counsel.
Attorney Weigand is a graduate of the University of Connecticut both undergraduate and the law school. He is active in UCONN Alumni activities and served as President of its National Board of Directors from 1988-1990. He continues to serve on various Alumni Committees and is actively involved in the University's Capital Campaign. He has also been active as a fund-raiser for the Jimmy Fund.
Attorney Weigand is a Member of the American, Connecticut and local Bar Associations and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association's Elder Law Section.
